A ghost is usually defined as the apparition of a deceased person, frequently similar in appearance to that person, and encountered in places he or she frequented, or in association with the person's former belongings. The word "ghost" may also refer to the spirit or soul of a deceased person, or to any spirit or demon.

Burning Building Girl Ghost Picture

November 19, 1995, Wem Town Hall in Shropshire, England burned down to the ground. As many spectators gathered around the old building consumed by flames (built in 1905), Tony O'Rahilly was one of the onlookers who took photos of the scene with a 200mm telephoto lens from across the street. One of the photos showed what looks like a small, partially transparent girl standing in the doorway. Niether O'Rahilly nor any of the other onlookers or firefighters recalled seeing the girl there. Further examination of the negative proved the ghost picture to be authentic and not tampered with.

i always love this photo. it just captures you... a little girl watching the watchers as the building shes in burns to the ground.

This picture has always always made me so sad. Who is she? Why is she there? It has always made me so sad to think that this little girl is stuck and that the building she loves is burning around her. Oh so sad.

This has now been proved as fake, as a picture of the very much alive girl outside a shop was superimposed very cleverly into this picture. There are lots of sites detailing it :)
