This is a fake picture. I've seen this photo in a book that dealt with fake ghost photos. A double-exposure trick, that's all. The man sat in the chair during the photo's first shot, then he moved away from the chair so the photographer could take a picture of the room again. This is one of the oldest fake ghost photos ever taken, if I remember correctly.
